CONFIRMATION OF DELIVERY FOR DOMESTIC LETTERS WITH ADVICE OF DELIVERY
We will always tell you when the addressee has received the letter you sent. You can choose whether you want the document in proof of receipt to be returned to you on paper or in electronic form.
WHAT DOES THE ADVICE OF DELIVERY SERVICE OFFER?
We obtain acknowledgement of the delivery of registered letter-mail items sent under this service. Then we return to you the document in proof of this, which has evidentiary value in legal proceedings. The unique identifier of the mail item allows you to track the progress of the letter.
HOW CAN YOU RECEIVE THE DOCUMENT IN PROOF OF DELIVERY?
- The confirmation of delivery is a pdf file in Hungarian transmitted via an electronic channel, in which the information is also available in an embedded xml file. The confirmation of delivery is certified, digitally signed and time-stamped.
- On request, it is possible to receive a paper copy of the confirmation of delivery, which is printed and sent to customers from our system.
HOW CAN YOU USE THE DIFFERENT FORMS OF THE DELIVERY DOCUMENT?
- You can take advantage of the certified confirmation of delivery by using the electronic posting list (EPL) and being able to receive confirmation of delivery via an electronic channel as a sender. Use our free ePostakönyv (ePostingbook) application. You must continue to use the yellow marker introduced for this purpose on the envelope and, in the case of an official document, you must also indicate the type of notification. For an official document, the service can only be used when using an electronic posting list. The electronic channel chosen for returning the information (e-mail, FTP server, Official Gateway, ePostakönyv) must be indicated in the EPL under the method of returning the advice of delivery. For more information on the electronic return channels and the technical specifications of the confirmation of delivery, please consult the Information Sheets.
- If you still prefer to send a letter with domestic advice of delivery on paper, you only need to complete the new receipt form on paper or fill in the posting list form. In this case, however, only the e-mail and paper return channels are available and the customer’s own internal code cannot be given.
INTERNATIONAL ADVICE OF DELIVERY
When delivering international registered letter-mail items sent under this service, acknowledgement of receipt of the mail items is obtained from the addressee or the authorised recipient. Then we return to you the document in proof of this on paper, which has evidentiary value in legal proceedings.
However, in international mail not all foreign postal operators undertake to obtain the signature of the addressee on the advice of delivery slip, but instead delivery is certified by the postal operator on the advice of delivery slip by a postal signature and a date stamp. You can check on our
Country Guide page whether or not the postal operator in a given destination country undertakes this activity.
For information about the price of the service, see our
Tariffs page or the
product sheet, or ask at a post office.
